Romans 5:19-21
"For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Why then as Believers do we struggle admitting our mistakes? If we are true believers in God then we should know that we are not condemned.
The question was asked in class if any of us rebel against God. I rose my hand in confession....no one else did. This had my spirit in anguish and drawn to speak out the truth. I know that we, as human beings, daily rebel against God. One person approached me after class and tried to confront me on my confession and they asked me why I would do that.
I told them, I know every time I condemn myself I am rebelling against God because I am refusing to accept the fact that HE has forgiven me, thus saying, I do not believe in your Grace. That is wrong b/c HIS Grace is how we continue to be be HIS Children.
Romans 6:1-3
I have to admit, I have had to repent for the past few weeks b/c I told God that I was better at disciplining myself then HE could be. I told HIM that I would beat myself into the ground until I felt the mistake was reconciled.
I now realize that was what satan wanted me to do and I gave into his trip. I was ashamed of my sin to much ro admit the mistake and grow.
Well, now i know that God has forgiven me and that by facing the consequences of my mistake that HE had something to teach me. HE is teaching me.
Just a little insight to one of the lessons....
Love is fighting for the person, in prayer and in deed. Do not give up regardless of how hard it is, if you love them you will stick with them!
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
